What to expect at your child's visit.
We start with you.
We'll talk through your child's history, what you're noticing, and your goals — no rush, and plenty of time for questions.
A light, playful assessment.
We assess how your child is moving and adapting using gentle, age-appropriate checks. For babies, the pressure used is no more than you'd use to test a ripe tomato.
A plan built around them.
We'll recommend a gentle, personalized approach and explain everything — so you always feel informed and in control.
Gentle by design.
Chiropractic care for infants and children uses very light, specific touches — quite different from adult adjustments. As Forsyth County's only PX Doc, we bring specialized pediatric training and take time to make each visit calm and comfortable.
We don't treat medical conditions or promise cures. We support your child's nervous system and development as part of their overall wellness — and we'll always refer you to your pediatrician when something needs medical attention.
Things patients often ask.
Is chiropractic care safe for babies and children?
Pediatric chiropractic uses very light, gentle techniques tailored to a child's size and stage. Our chiropractors are trained in pediatric care and take a careful history before recommending anything. As always, we encourage open communication with your pediatrician.
How much pressure is used on an infant?
For babies, the pressure used is extremely light — often described as no more than you'd use to check the ripeness of a tomato. It's gentle and brief.
Can chiropractic help with colic or reflux?
Many parents seek pediatric chiropractic care when their babies are experiencing challenges with comfort, sleep, feeding, or general fussiness. Our approach focuses on gentle, individualized chiropractic care and assessing spinal movement and musculoskeletal function. While chiropractic care is not an established treatment for colic or reflux, we focus on providing a comfortable, supportive experience for your little one.
What about torticollis?
Torticollis can affect how comfortably a baby turns their head and moves their neck. During a pediatric chiropractic evaluation, we assess movement, positioning, and musculoskeletal function to better understand your baby's individual needs. Our approach is gentle, age-appropriate, and focused on supporting comfortable movement.
At what age can my child start?
We see children at many ages — including infants. We'll tailor everything to your child's stage and let you know what to expect.
